Sage Saves the Day

Sage's Sudbury Stars ran their unbeaten streak to five games with a 2-2 tie against second place Milford.  Down 2-0 early, the Stars rallied to get to 2-1 at halftime.  Sage manned the goal in the second half and shutdown the Red Hawks.  Her play allowed the team to rally for the equalizer.  Once it was tied, the Red Hawks threw everything they had at Sage.  Twice the Red Hawks had break-away runs on Sage.  The first one hit the right post.  The second one came with two minutes left.  It was a rocket heading for the upper left post.  Sage leaped and tipped it off the upper bar and away from the goal.  The crowd went wild.  It was a very good tie capped off with the first Popsicles of the season.
