Science Fair Sensation

Sage participated in her first science fair. It was held at her school and she was one of almost one hundred presentations. Her study of Radon Gas and the associated hazards really made people think. Sage's hypothesis was that her home would have safe Radon levels. She conducted a complete experiment and she was right! Sage challenged the crowds by asking if they were concerned about drunk driving. She then wowed them by informing that the cancer caused by Radon Gas in the home kills twice as many people annually. There were many who wanted to go home and test there own houses. Our scientist knew her project very well and received a certificate from the official reviewer. It was very clear that she put major effort into this project. As for next year, the study of rainbows looks to be an early topic leader.

Thank you Sage for making people in your school aware of the dangers of radon. Hopefully they will test their homes to determine if they have a radon issue.

You may also want to consider entering the poster contest that is sponsored by the National Safety Council. Details can be located at http://www.epa.gov/radon/nram/partners.html
