Sage Birthday Sleep Over

Sage had the biggest sleep over of her life to celebrate her 9th birthday. Six friends came with sleeping bags, pillows and stuffed animals. They all crashed in the basement. It was a crazy night of pillowcase decorating, fondue cake and light sticks. The girls watched the movie 'Unaccompanied Minors'. Even with extra help from Gammy and Papa Bill, we still felt out numbered. At eleven, Dad started the 'time for bed' chant and the last ones were finally out around one. Little girls can make a lot of noise when bundled together. Dawn came early and Gramp arrived to make the birthday breakfast. Animal pancakes and bacon vanished as fast as Gramp could get them to the table. Evidently, staying up all night creates a big appetite.

As an aside, Sage now stands 4'5.5". At this rate, she is projected to grow to 5'5", which is also the same height as Mia Hamm. Must be good genes!
