Magic Update

Our favorite roaming dog was finally caught by the dog officer last week.  After 10 days of trying to find the dog's owner, Magic was adopted by a person who helped in the capture.  The adoption took place on Sunday and the new owner was warned that Magic is a runner.
By Wednesday, Magic was back in the yard.  Evidently, being a kept dog does not suit him well.  Stay tuned for the next exciting chapter.

18 Month Doctor's Visit

Rayne went her her 18 month healthy check-up on Tuesday.  Dr. Zackin thinks she is doing outstanding.  Rayne weighed in at 23 lbs 8 oz (75%) and stretched out to 33 inches (50%).  She did not live up to her billing as a chatty little girl, but answered just enough of Dr. Zackin's questions to show that she is advancing.  Best part was no shots this time around!

The Green 10th Birthday Party

Good times in Sudbury last Saturday night as Sage celebrated her 10th birthday with a huge sleepover event in the playroom.  We hosted 9 fourth graders and their sleeping bags.  The theme was green and the kids were required to dress in their best greens.  The crew looked the part, but all the green food did not go over very well.  Personally, I thought the green chicken and green pasta served with a green alfredo sauce was excellent.  Kristin made a homemade green cake to go with the green mint chocolate chip and green pistachio ice cream.  Of course we also served green milk.

End of Christmas

After a long Christmas season, it was finally time to take down the tree. It was a surprise to all that we would need a shovel to pick up all the needles.Posted by Picasa

Christmas in Holden

Our last Christmas was celebrated out in Holden with Grammy and Grampy. We had a great feast and continued the gift giving. Rayne never changed her approach. Open a gift and then go and play with it. There were even times that when Sage opened a gift, Rayne would go and play with that. This was especially the case when Grampy gave Sage her surprise. It was a handmade doll bed for her American Girl doll. Rayne thought it was perfect for her and climbed right in. Fortunately, Grampy makes real good beds! Pictures are still coming from this Christmas.. stay tuned!

Magic Mania

For the past two weeks we have had a new friend in the yard. No one knows where he came from or where he goes. Kristin named him Magic. Magic has been on the run for over five weeks. Hopefully we catch him one of these days. More updates on Magic will follow.Posted by Picasa

Balls Balls Balls

Who would have thought that Dad's juggling balls would make such fun times

Christmas in Denver

Christmas continues as the family trekked to Yaya and Papi's house in PA. A long drive on Christmas Eve was rewarded with a very relaxing Christmas Day. Rayne received a new turtle chair from Papi's workshop and she proceeded to climb all over it. Chris got a pair of real man's overalls. Rumor is he has been wearing them for the last week since the temps have been Artic like. Laila had a great trip playing with Wally non-stop. The evening brought Kip, Pete, Adam and Dana. Great times just hanging out Christmas night.

Christmas morning in Sudbury

Christmas morning in Sudbury came early as Sage was first to wake. She quickly convinced Rayne to wake up. Next was time for stockings. After stockings, Gammy, Papa Bil and Aunt Kelly arrived to join in the fun. Rayne was very aware of what was going on. She would open a present and then insist on playing with it before going to the next. Sage receive more good stuff for her room. A new desk chair and 'trophy' case (aka a shelf) were pretty cool. Sage read every poem from the poem calendar she made. Even Laila had fun as she opened her new chew toy (and proceeded to chew it to bits).

Early Present from Santa

Sage and Rayne recieved an early present from Santa on Christmas Eve. With the matching pajamas, it is tough to tell where one sister ends and the other one starts.

Christmas Eve Eve

. The Christmas season started early this year. The family celebrated with Aunt Judi, Uncle Tim, Melba and Aunt K on Christmas Eve Eve. Our visitors from England had just come off the plane, but they showed plenty of good Christmas spirit. Sage was luckiest as she got a Chelsea soccer shirt with her name on the back and a new bean bag chair for her room. She was pretty excited about the gifts. Rayne enjoyed herself as well. She was very comfortable hanging out with Uncle Tim as you can see. Posted by Picasa

Christmas Tree Decorating with the Krivopals

Posted by Picasa
In a long standing holiday tradition, we decorated the Christmas tree with Mark, Haya, Abby and Lily. Our bare tree became a glorious, shimmering, piece of art in record time. Since the kids are all growing taller, we no longer have a tree that is just pretty on the bottom. Mr. Snowman continues to sing, even after five years!
