This Spring, the roads of Sudbury will not be safe because a certain 9 year-old will be cruising the streets in her new Diamondback Mountain Bike. The birthday season ended with the arrival of Sage's new 'Tessie' (name of her bike). It is a 21 speed with front fork suspension. The bike even has a matching horn (not shown in picture). Sage did not wait for the snow to melt before taking it for a ride. However, Sage quickly learned that not all hand brakes are created equally. Some aggressive breaking of the front wheel enabled Sage to go over the handle bars on only her second ride. Sage friend exclaimed "WOW, that was so AWESOME" at the crash. Sage calmly got up and brushed the gravel from her palms saying " I'm OK".
Happy 9th Birthday!
